Candied Pecans

Half-cup pecans halved

One-fourth cup of  light brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp of water
  • Salt according to taste

Poppyseed Dressing

  • ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup  of white granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp of white onion grated
  • 1 tbsp of poppy seeds
  • ½ tsp of  salt
  • ¼ tsp of dry mustard
  • ½ cup of vegetable oil

Salad Ingredients for STRAWBERRY Weight loss SALAD WITH POPPYSEED DRESSING

  • Four cups of mixed spring greens
  • Half cup of  strawberries diced
  • One-fourth cup of  feta crumbles
  • Half a cup of candied pecans

Directions

Candied Pecans

  1. Heat a small skillet over medium heat, and add the light brown sugar, salt, and water to the skillet. Heat until a smooth consistency. Add the pecans and allow to cook for about 5 mins.
  2. Remove pecans from the skillet and spread out onto parchment or wax paper and allow to cool.

Poppyseed Dressing

  1. Add all the ingredients to a medium size jar, tighten the lid and shake well until all are combined.
  2. Assemble the salad by layering the spring greens, diced strawberries, candied pecans, and feta. Drizzle with the dressing. Serve immediately and enjoy!
